About Shenzhen, China

Shenzhen is one of the most populous and richest cities in China. It is situated immediately north of Hong Kong, in the South of Guangdong Province and to the south of the Tropic of Cancer. Unlike the majority of the other Asian cities, it does not have as many historical attractions, but, it has created a number of excellent theme parks which entertain while teaching visitors about China and the world.

Since the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in 1980, the city has experienced a rapid economical growth. One of the results of the establishment is the city's novel and modern cityscape, which offers visitors a wonderful sightseeing experience. First starting as a small village, today, Shenzhen is as modern as it gets, being home to the world's 14th tallest building, the Shun Hing Square (Diwang Building), and having dozens of buildings over 200 meters tall, mostly concentrated in Luohu and Futian districts.
